Site Engineering Manager - Boston (1 year FTC)
Are you an Engineering Manager looking for a new challenge? This opportunity working for a large Timber manufacturer will give you an opportunity to showcase your skills and experience, supporting the Engineering function through a new CMMS installation.
You will use your technical expertise and your people skills to lead and develop the site Engineering team, to deliver optimum use of resources, that ensure the site delivers productivity, quality, cost, service and safety objectives in an environment of high morale and engagement. Work in partnership with the Site Operations Manager to improve business results and to develop engineering skills and knowledge within the site teams, promoting a professional manufacturing team culture. You will devise and implement site delivery plans for plant, people and processes, within the context of the overall Manufacturing strategy, plan and control the engineering budget to deliver the most cost-effective results. Identify and action opportunities for improvements within the engineering team to promote a continuous improvement culture within the Engineering and operational teams.
In conjunction with the Head of Engineering, implement an asset integrity management programme including establishment of risk-based inspection programmes for a wide range of asset types, development of testing/inspection programmes to ensure OEE is maximised. Lead engineering root cause analysis and implementation of long term engineering solutions to prevent reoccurrences, manage KPI’s including Run Hours, Mean Time Between Failure (MBTF) and Cost to repair of equipment and systems.
You will have advanced knowledge of SAP CMMS systems, NEBOSH cert in Health & safety and a proven track record of Engineering Management.
