Head of Planning - Norwich to 60k + Benefits
We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager, Head of Planning/Supplychain for a large Blue Chip manufacturer based in Norwich, this newly created role will see you heading up a team of 6 planners, covering demand and materials.
You will report to the site General Manager, and liase with other Senior Management team members. Working closely with sales, customers and operations providing a daily and weekly production plan, to maximise factory efficiency, ensuring customers orders are delivered on time and in full.
This role is challenging and will require a tenacious attitude to get the job done, coupled with strong communication skills to enable you to build long term plans based around customer insight, promotional plans and reducing waste at every opportunity, a real understanding of Continuous Improvement is essential.
Liaising with operations, managing stock holding and write offs, participating in weekly SOPs relating to new product launces, delists and promotions. You will be a super SAP user, ensuring all activities and processes are completed within area of responsibility aiming for 100% SAP compliance on packaging and ingredients.
You will ensure the site achieves and maintains the level accreditation through customer/legal auditing processes,
Manage your Planning Team, giving direction, motivating and coaching them to their full potential. Ensuring Health and Safety measures are adhered to at all times.
The successful appliant will have proven experience gained within a short shelf life production facility, requiring intensive labour usage. Demonstrable experience in managing different customer requirements, successfully managing teams including performance management, conduct and adherence to company policies.
Excellent IT skills and a proved SAP super user.
