Our client, a boutique hotel and restaurant located on the Suffolk and Essex border is recruiting a Junior Sous Chef to join their kitchen team.
Reporting to the Head Chef your duties will include:
- Cooking and plating food to a high standard
- Assisting with training of junior team members
- Stock and wastage control
- Managing junior members of staff
- Knowing the menu inside out, so it is adaptable for customer dietary requirements
- Following and enforcing hygiene and health and safety standards
- Having input into seasonal specials
The successful candidate will have a passion for creativity and good food, as well as being an experienced Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef De Partie looking to move into a more senior role.
