      <description>Carrying out up to 40 multi-drop deliveries of parcels to domestic/retail/industrial outlets around East Anglia. Assisting with loading and unloading the vehicle.  Vehicle checks to be completed on arrival before departure.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 
Full valid driving licence
PREVIOUS SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: 
Previous multi-drop experience and good geographical knowledge essential
IDENTIFIED HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK AND CONTROL MEASURES: 
FLOOR SURFACES - Risk of slips / trips / falls - controlled by good workplace maintenance
DROPPED OBJECTS - Risk of slips / trips / falls - controlled by good housekeeping training
LIFTING / CARRYING - Risk of sprains / strains / abrasions - controlled by manual handling training 
OPERATING VEHICLES - Risk of crushing injuries - controlled by worker holding relevant qualifications
MOVING VEHICLES  - Risk of crushing injuries - controlled by safe walkways and workplace training
WORKING AT HEIGHTS - Risk of sprains / strains / abrasions - controlled by workplace training
CLIMBING - Risk of sprains / breaks / crushing injuries - controlled by workplace training 
FALLING OBJECTS - Risk of sprains / breaks / crushing injuries - controlled by safe stacking training
FIRE / EXPLOSION - Risk of burns - controlled by fire safety training and fire evacuation training
PPE REQUIRED: 
Steel Toe Capped Boots / High Visibility Vest
PPE SUPPLIED:
None
HEALTH &amp; SAFETY OFFICER:

INFORMATION/TRAINING PROVIDED:
Full induction provided prior to commencing work, detailing safe working practices.  Training will be provided on good housekeeping, manual handling, operating vehicles, moving vehicles, safe walkways, working at heights, climbing, safe stacking, fire safety and fire evacuation.
Training should also include Company Health &amp; Safety Policies and Procedures and the name of the health and safety officer and details of to whom any health and safety issues or accidents should be reported.  The hazards identified with the role and the control measures in place.  The action to be taken in the event of an emergency, the sound of the fire alarm and where to assemble.
