It is important that each driver undertakes the necessary vehicle checks at the beginning and end of the shift. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Valid driving licence. Ideally all drivers are required to be level 4 security trained for aviation purposes. PREVIOUS SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Previous commercial driving experience is essential. Or, Driving a C+E vehicle to collect Live Birds from Farms and deliver them back to Holton or Great Witchingham Or, Shunting within the same site or between sites. Moving trailers to and from required loading bays as required by the relevant Production Managers. This could involve long periods of sitting around and then very busy periods for switchover of trailers. Vehicle checks must be completed and any defects reported to the transport office. Vehicles must be washed and refuelled at the end of each shift, all doors locked and left in the correct place. As smoking is illegal in the workplace, no smoking is permitted in any vehicle. Any driver found to be smoking in any vehicle will not be permitted to return. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Valid LGV Category C+E licence Live Birds licence if required to do live bird work.
